Neal Recreation Center After-School Program 2025-2026

Our affordable program is designed to complement and support Bryan ISD curriculum, offering a balanced blend of educational support, physical activity, creativity, and social development in a safe and supervised environment. The program consists of:

  • Homework Assistance and Tutoring: Dedicated time and support for completing homework assignments. Participants have an opportunity to receive academic tutoring to review material from school.
  • Physical Activities: Structured outdoor play, sports, and games, to promote physical health, coordination, and teamwork skills.

Transportation is not provided.

  • Ages: 5 – 12
  • Registration: Aug. 1 – End of School Year
  • Program Dates: Aug. 18 – May 15
  • Days / Times: Monday – Friday, 3 – 6 p.m.
  • Closed: Program is not offered during Bryan ISD Student Holiday Breaks: Sept. 1 & 29; Oct. 13-17; Nov. 3 & 24-28; Dec. 22-Jan. 6 & 19; Feb. 16; March 9-13; and April 3 & 6
  • Monthly Fee: $40 Residents | $50 Non-Residents

School Holiday Camp

Need a safe and fun place for your child to go during school holidays? Sign them up for our School Holiday Camp where they will get to hang out with their own age group and participate age-appropriate activities that include arts, crafts, educational programs, structure outdoor place, games, sports and more.

  • Ages: 5 – 12
  • Registration: Aug. 1, 2025 – April 6, 2026
  • Program Dates: Sept. 29; Oct. 13-17; Nov. 3, 24 & 25; Feb. 16; March 9 -13 & April 6
  • Days / Times: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Daily Fee: $10 Residents | $15 Non-Residents
  • Location: Neal Recreation Center, 600 N. Randolph Ave.

Register for School Holiday Camp

Start Smart Sports prepares children ages 3 – 5 for organized sports with progressive motor skills drills using age-appropriate equipment tailored to specific sports. Participants build confidence while fostering crucial motor skills for future success in youth sports, all without competition or injury concerns. Parents or guardians are encouraged to participate with their child.

Basketball

Prepares participants with the basic motor skills necessary to play organized basketball while also teaching dribbling/ball handling, passing/catching, shooting and running/agility.

  • Ages: 3 – 5
  • Registration Dates: Aug. 1, 2025 – Jan. 2, 2026
  • Program Dates: Jan. 6 – Feb. 10, 2026
  • Days / Times: Tuesdays, 6:30 – 7:15 p.m.
  • Fees: $50 Residents | $60 Non-Residents
